Trek to see Phil

Nothing is weirder than being with 7,000 other people in the dead of winter waiting to see a groundhog. That's why it was so great. 5:30 am - dancing with people dressed like groundhogs, watching fireworks in the middle of the woods, enjoying a bonfire. Waiting for the break of dawn...

then, actually believing that a rodent can prognosticate. Ah, pagan rituals. Where would we be without them?

I just found this blog today from a note in the Shippenburg University Magazine. Normally that Magazine heads straight to my local landfill, but this time I actually read it. Slow news day in Kansas CIty. I'm thrilled to have found you all!

This is Ellen (Algier) Diggs, I'm still stuck in Kansas hurdling tumbleweed and 300-piece lego creations of my two busy sons.

Am completely virginal in blogging, so would love to figure out what the #$%@ I'm doing here. But I am here, so it's all good.

Welcome Ellen!
so great to hear from you!! Hope you'll post some pics of your adventures in OZ...I told Lisa to send you an invite. Told my husband story about the night you put your tiny body in our refrigerator and was a personal beer server...
